The beginning of Drew Petersen’s career resembled the quintessential pro skier’s life: he traveled the globe skiing in front of the camera. But Drew was able to expand his portfolio to include storytelling, speaking engagements, and film work because he spent the time to define his purpose. “This might sound corny, but I want to create a future for my nephew to grow up in that honors and prioritizes mental health as a core fabric of the culture,” says Drew. “That’s my north star. And that’s what keeps me jazzed about skiing. I’m having as much fun as I’ve ever had on a pair of skis. That really comes from broadening my identity.”

“Being a professional skier means being an ambassador of the sport, the brands who I partner with, the community of skiing, the passion of skiing,” says Drew. “And telling stories about skiing that welcome people into the sport and make people find joy and meaning and direction from the sport of skiing in the way that I have.”
