Mike Douglas
Mike Douglas is an award-winning film & commercial producer/director from Whistler, Canada.
Thanks to a successful professional skiing career, Mike worked as a TV commentator at ESPN’s X Games for 14 years. During the same period he also called skiing events for CBS, ABC, and NBC.
In 2004, Mike founded Switchback Entertainment – a video production company specializing in outdoor adventure films and commercials. He launched the groundbreaking web series, Salomon TV, in 2007 and has produced/directed more than a dozen award-winning films including The Freedom Chair, Tempting Fear, Eclipse, Snowman, Guilt Trip, Liv Along the Way, Fountain Of Youth, And Sam And Me.
Mike and his team at Switchback have produced commercials and branded content for Salomon, Destination BC, Red Bull, Google, Athletic Brewing and Whistler Blackcomb, to name just a few.
His latest feature-length documentary – The Impossible Journey, is set to be released in 2025.
