MIRANDA RIVERA

Film Crew Film

I HAIL FROM TAOS, NEW MEXICO, WHERE THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS MEET THE RIO GRANDE. I am an experienced 2nd Assistant Camera and Digital Loader based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My camera credits span a range of big-budget projects, including work with Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and Apple TV. I have a strong foundation in narrative filmmaking, along with experience in documentary filmmaking. I bring a keen eye, technical precision, and a collaborative spirit to every production I join.

I am multilingual in French and Spanish, and my love of languages has deepened my passion for travel. I’ve volunteered in countries such as Burma and Venezuela, and I was even a team leader with Soccer Without Borders in Nicaragua.

I have supported multiple 2nd units as a 2nd AC, digital loader, and digital utility. My contributions have spanned both main and second units across a diverse array of genres and production scales.

My versatility is further underscored by my cross-departmental experience: I’ve worked as a Techno Crane Tech and was the first-ever female Taurus Techno Crane Driver in the United States. Earlier in my career, I also worked in the Grip, Art, and Locations departments. My technical skills include working with cameras such as the ARRI Alexa LF, ARRI Alexa 35, Sony Venice, Blackmagic Pocket, and Sony A7S series. I’m proficient in managing media workflows using software like Pomfort Silverstack, Hedge, and DaVinci Resolve.

I studied abroad as a Rotary Exchange Student in Belgium, where I learned to speak French. I also hold a dual Master’s degree in Water Resources & Policy and Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico. I bring both academic insight and a global perspective to any production or project I take on.

Whether changing lenses, hauling gear, or managing data, I’m known for my efficiency, adaptability, and pure love for the craft. I thrive in fast-paced environments and deeply value the camaraderie, positive attitude, and creative energy that come with set life—regardless of a project’s budget. I’m a team player and an avid outdoor enthusiast—not afraid to get my feet muddy or teeth gritty. I’m always ready to bring my skills and contagious smile to any new challenge, in any environment.
