Johnny Schillereff
Johnny Schillereff is an avid skateboarder, artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
At four years old, Johnny got his first skateboard, found his calling, and began submerging himself in skateboarding culture.
Inspired by the positive impact skateboarding made on him, Johnny discovered his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Element Skateboards in the early 90s. With that momentum, he additionally launched other successful brands and entered numerous business ventures.
In 2001, Johnny sold Element, where it became part of a publicly traded company. He remained a key shareholder, CEO, President, and public figure for nearly three decades. His company was sold in more than 100 countries, with flagship stores worldwide — in addition to being available in more than 10,000 wholesale accounts and e-commerce platforms around the world.
During this time, Johnny also established and built skate camps and competitions across the globe. In addition to creating Element, his mission to grow the skateboarding industry led him to assemble some of the greatest skateboarding teams, employ and mentor thousands of skateboarders and enthusiasts, and launch, own, and advise some of the world’s most renowned action sports businesses.
In 2018, Element merged with a leading private equity firm to form the world’s largest action sports conglomerate with 1.2 billion in sales and more than 7,000 employees.
In 2020, Johnny created The Heart Supply – with the mission to offer quality entry-level skateboards to all markets and give skateboards to kids in need. To date, The Heart Supply has given thousands of skateboards to children in need worldwide.
Today, Johnny continues to focus on philanthropic efforts and serves as the CEO of USA Skateboarding.

“Teaching has become more than a goal; it’s a calling that I believe my previous experiences were all leading to.”
