Hennie Van Jaarsveld
Born in South Africa, raised in Vermont, and based in Salt Lake City, Hennie’s innate sense of humanity and adventure spills into his career. After getting his professional start filming and editing in the ski industry, he then expanded his expertise to include full-scale productions, executing films and campaigns from pre-production planning through to published content.
Hennie is just as comfortable working on the side of a mountain as he is in the studio. Whether behind the camera on expedition or in front of a computer at the edit desk, he always finds a way to connect with individuals and work together to help them spread their message.
He thrives when telling stories about people and what drives them, and this passion comes through in all of his work; everything from commercial product design to nonprofit impact and stories of great human feats. It is this special touch that has made Hennie such a sought-after editor, cinematographer, and content strategist over the past 15 years.

“Hennie has an incredible knack for storytelling. He can decipher countless hours of interviews into a story. When we set out for “Of the Black Sea,” we didn’t know the actual story that was going to be told. He took everything, condensed it, and created a story, which is truly an incredible thing.”
