Charlotte Durif is a six time climbing World Champion from France who’s carved out a unique path in the climbing world and beyond. After years of performance at the highest level both at competitions and outdoors, she transitioned into consulting with the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC), helping guide the sport through its Olympic debut in Tokyo and in conversations for Paris. She was the official commentator for sport climbing at both Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024—the sport’s only Olympic appearances to date—bringing insider expertise to a global audience.
Alongside her husband, climber and filmmaker Josh Larson, she produces gritty, run-and-gun climbing films for their company Cold House Media shot in remote and wild locations—from the Andes to the Himalayas. When she’s home in Salt Lake City, she brings those stories to life as a film editor. She’s also behind the camera as a photographer, often capturing the climbing community and landscapes she knows so well.
Charlotte has also been involved in bolting and climbing development projects in Peru, Puerto Rico, and Nepal—supporting local climbers, helping establish new routes, and sharing stories from regions often overlooked in mainstream climbing media. Her work reflects a quiet commitment to access, community, and creative exploration.
